Description

South London born trio Divine Unity are a girl group with a difference. An eclectic blend of pop music sung with naturally soulful voices, their unique sound is coming to Charlotte Street Blues, London for a live, eight week set. The group will be featured as part of the New Gospel Brunch which commences on the 7th February and will run until 28th March 2010. The girl’s induction into music began early and Sacha, Martina and Sharlene started off singing at church which included performances at the Brighton Convention Centre. The award winning group have since performed at the National Exhibition Centre and The Drum Theatre in Birmingham as well as performing to a sold out crowd at the Royal Festival Hall and Symphony Hall. The talented singer/songwriters have also graced the stage with the likes of Soul Legend Omar and two time MOBO Award Winning saxophonist, Yolanda Brown; as well as supporting Basement Jaxx vocalist Sharlene Hector when she performed at the Hat Factory, Luton. With their unique and energetic performances and funky, vibrant sense of style the trio are definitely ones to watch in 2010 as they get set to bring a fresh and innovative vibe to the music industry.

Charlotte Street Blues is a live Blues Bar in Central London dedicated to showcasing new and upcoming talent while also promoting more established home-grown and international groups. They have previously featured blues man Otis Taylor whose track 10 Million Slaves was featured in the Johnny Depp and Christian Bale film Public Enemies and a forthcoming performance from Manchester born singer Kyla Brox and the Oli Brown Band.
