The Black Grape Music Venue | Gastro Bar delivers an eclectic
experience with every visit. Its inclusive atmosphere sets it apart as
an accessible and welcoming touch point where everyone can enjoy the
best in good food and amazing live music.
The gastro bar opened its doors to the general public in August 2009,
offering a mix of culinary fare featuring selected signature dishes
from Africa, the Caribbean, Central and South America.
The menu features something for everyone from Pumpkin to Pepper Soup,
Ackee and Salt Fish to Jerk Chicken, Jollof rice to Rice and Peas.
Geared towards welcoming, introducing and seducing a diverse clientele
with authentic cuisine carefully prepared to satisfy the seasoned
aficionado and comfort the curious.
The open and welcoming atmosphere greets you from across the threshold
as you approach the venues distinctively coloured exterior. A calm
sense of belonging prevails and the melting pot of good times is
brought to a boil in the dedicated 300+ capacity live entertainment and
performance space, set alongside but separate to the gastro bar.
Here the experience and credentials of Black Grape in staging the best
in live entertainment is self evident. Tingling high fidelity sound,
creative lighting and audio visual support a programme of live jazz,
comedy, selected film shows previews and much, much more is scheduled.
The live performance venue is available for hire and has been chosen
for everything from receptions, conferences, rehearsals and filming.
