Music fanatic brothers, Adam and Matthew Brooks, founded m-brio Music in May 2009. Coming from a musical family, Adam being a keyboardist and Musical Director, and Matthew being a highly sought after and well traveled drummer, it is no surprise that they have decided to take their interest in music to the next level.
So why set up a website? Well here's what the music loving brothers had to say. "The reason we set up m-briomusic.com was because we see the huge impact web/internet has had on the way we do things. It is literally the centre-piece of our social and communicative existence, we go online for everything, we trust the Internet to supply us with everything from news and television to social networking, banking and music, and it was for that reason that we decided to go "online". The vision behind the site is simple. We want to be able to reach and be accessible to as many people as possible, to expose them to music and artists they may never have heard before, and not only that, but also to create a platform for up and coming artists to be able to gain maximum exposure for their material".
They continue, "We're not in this for money or to create a name for ourselves, what we want is to help to build a sustainable industry here in the U.K where an artist can actually be full-time, where their ministry and gift can support them and their families and where a young child can aspire to one day be a Christian singer or musician instead of having to compromise their faith or standards in order to fulfill their dreams. Don't get us wrong, if that’s your choice then we have no problem with it, it just seems as if there are very few options for those who don’t want to go down the route of singing BV's (Backing Vocals) or playing drums or keys for a non Christian artist with non Christian views. On the flip-side of that, we are all for Christians working in the secular industry, how else will they be reached? But if we're out there then we should be a light in the darkness, we don’t have to preach but by our lifestyle they should see the God in us, that’s how we believe it supposed to be"
"There are many people who have paved the way for the U.K industry to even be where it is now, the pioneers can never be disregarded or forgotten for all the great work that they did and continue to do to this day, and we are happy to work alongside them should we ever be asked, but right now we are moving with the vision God has given us and if that means we have to go it alone then that is what we will do".
The Brooks brothers seem determined and focused, don't be surprised if you start hearing more and more about them and their work. They have already shown their global reach with the site, since it's launch in May 2009 having over 4 million hits from over 30 different countries including the U.S.A, Poland, France, Germany, China, Australia, New Zealand, India, Belgium, Indonesia and many more, and it continues to grow with every passing day.
The site also acts as a ticket agent and will work with you to sell tickets to any suitable event through their safe and reliable payments system.
It doesn’t stop there, m-brio music are also in the process of setting up a booking agency and are pleased to announce that they have agreed terms with UK Gospel sensation, Psalmist and Praise & Worship leader, Roger Samuels and also Matthew Allen a new artist bursting onto the scene with a powerful Praise & Worship ministry and also a powerful evangelism ministry with music that reaches the lost as well as those of us that have already given our hearts to God.
This is just the beginning, there is so much more to come, they have started a REVOLUTION.
